It almost feels like I didn't leave the kitchen the past few days - baked a carrot cake Thursday night, woke up early Friday morning to prepare lunch, chilli tuna penne, came home and made cheese baked spagetti with meatballs and oxtail stew today. And chocolate chip muffins too.
D loves Asian food, Chinese in particular, and I try to accomodate his needs as much as possible. It definitely is a lot healthier too. This weekend however, I just wanted non-Chinese food. Luckily Cass is a huge fan of pasta and all things Western. She hasn't craved for any local food the whole month she's been here. I think it's just insane not to miss Sg food - the glutton in me dreams of eating at least one dish a day - laksa, chicken rice, char kway teow etc.
We didn't get up to much this weekend except for a bbq at a friend's place and then a party Saturday night but we didn't stay long at both. D went for a bucks' night, where there literally was only food and drinks and it sounded pretty boring. To jazz it up, the groom-to-be hired a stripper and half the men left the room to escape her. Wth?
I went for a drive in Optimus Prime today and it was bloody nerve wrecking. I didn't wanna crash our car and was totally stressed out. As predicted, I gave D a hard time and quarrelled with him. To his credit, he did try to be patient. I really wonder when I am ever gonna be able to drive by myself.
Ok, pictures.
Always good to have a drink while cooking ;)
I think I'll bring some muffins for Pam and one of my bosses tomorrow. Sweet-toothed people should have no problem having a
chocolate chip muffin for breakfast. Besides, I have no idea what I'm gonna do with so many muffins.
Urgh, so not looking forward to Monday though.
